Quicksilver is a premium product that releases loads like limestone, fly ash, and FGD sludge in extreme weather. The product is self lubricating, corrision and abrasion resistant surface. Comparing with aluminum substrates, Quicksilver lasts 4 times longer whereas compared with steel it lasts approximately 2 times longer. This makes using Quicksilver highly attractive if you are handling fly ash!
For example, a freight carrier won a contract to move approximately 350,000 tons of bottom furnace ash. This is a significant logistical issue as it required all of their trucks to move about 1000 tons. The material abraded away the beds of all of the trucks within 1.5 to 2 years. They installed the Quicksilver liners in the trucks and immediately extended the bed life and the drivers noticed that they didn’t have to raise the bed as high to empty the fly ash, which was a significant safety improvement on preventing the truck from rolling over.
